Security Engineer
Senior security engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions, leading incident response, and driving vulnerability management across the organization’s IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy security architectures for on‑premise and cloud (AWS) environments, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Lead incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, and post‑incident analysis.
- Conduct continuous vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation efforts, and coordinate patch management across diverse systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures, providing guidance to engineering and operations teams.
- Automate security controls and monitoring using scripting languages such as Python and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and cloud migration projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in information security, with a focus on network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Strong knowledge of AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, etc.) and cloud security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python or similar languages.
- Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and implementing security controls in regulated environments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, or AWS Security Specialty are preferred.
