Security Engineer II responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, monitoring systems for threats, managing vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents while enforcing robust access and policy frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across IT systems to protect data and infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce access control policies and acceptable use guidelines for information resources.
- Monitor security events using SIEM tools, identify indicators of compromise, and initiate preventive measures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching, and track remediation progress.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security best practices into development and operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in information security or related field.
- Solid understanding of access control models, security policy development, and network security fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
