Security Engineer
Lead firewall and network security initiatives for DoD clients, designing resilient architectures, enforcing security policies, and guiding teams to meet evolving mission-critical requirements.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced firewall solutions tailored to DoD security requirements.
- Lead a cross‑functional team in assessing network architecture, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending mitigations.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response plans aligned with DoD standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical network designs.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and configuration reviews to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in firewall engineering and network security.
- Deep knowledge of DoD security frameworks (NIST, DoD 8570, etc.).
- Proficiency with leading firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent) preferred.
