Security Engineer
Security Analyst responsible for monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations using SIEM tools, vulnerability scanning, and risk assessment techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security events across the organization using SIEM platforms and generate actionable alerts.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and document findings.
- Perform regular vulnerability scans, prioritize remediation, and track patching progress.
- Assess risks to data and systems, especially those handling protected health information, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other relevant compliance frameworks through audits and policy enforcement.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in security operations or a related role.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and incident response workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with vulnerability assessment tools and remediation processes.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
