Software Engineer
Lead a multidisciplinary team in system‑of‑systems analysis, driving model‑based engineering, requirements development, and integration for complex defense programs using SysML and DoD acquisition processes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the analysis, design, and integration of system‑of‑systems architectures.
- Develop and maintain SysML models to capture functional, performance, and interface requirements across multiple subsystems.
- Coordinate with program managers and stakeholders to translate mission objectives into technical requirements and verification plans.
- Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to ensure traceability, consistency, and compliance with DoD acquisition standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, trade studies, and performance analyses to support decision‑making and schedule adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in MBSE, SysML modeling, and requirements management for large‑scale defense programs.
- Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, security clearance requirements, and system‑of‑systems integration challenges.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) at start of employment.
