QA Engineer
Senior Software Development Engineer in Test responsible for building and scaling automated test frameworks for a high‑volume cloud communications platform, leveraging Java/Python, Selenium, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for APIs and UI components using Java, Python, and Selenium.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable releases for a platform handling ~1 billion API calls per month.
- Collaborate with development, product, and operations teams to define quality metrics, test strategies, and defect‑resolution processes.
- Implement performance and reliability testing in cloud environments, leveraging AWS services for scalable test execution.
- Mentor junior SDETs, promote best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proficiency in Java and/or Python and hands‑on experience with Selenium or similar UI automation tools.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Experience testing cloud‑native applications and familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and excellent communication abilities.
