The Role

Quanata (San Francisco, CA) seeks a SDET, Backend to join our team, which is making a huge impact by delivering new-age insurance solutions to modern society. The SDET, Backend will ensure that API components of the backend work according to customer needs. Specific duties include: follow agile methodologies and participate in scrum meetings and software quality audits for all the phases of SDLC; responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area; perform business requirement analysis by thoroughly understanding Project Design Document and Business Requirement Document; develop scalable and robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, BDD frameworks, and PyCharm; execute integration, regression, and performance testing using industry standard tools; research new or better alternate automated testing tools; extensively use TestRail Test Management tool or equivalent to maintain the test suites, manage the automation test results and analyze the test failures; work independently and collaborate across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead detailed software quality discussions; demonstrate clarity of thought designing end to end test scenarios to work through limited information and vague problem definitions; mentor other quality engineers; and other duties as assigned.
