Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate novel AI and machine‑learning models for target identification, hit prioritization, and lead optimization.
• Build scalable software tools and pipelines that integrate with the SPARC AI‑accelerated drug discovery workflow.
• Conduct in silico experiments, analyze large biomedical datasets, and generate actionable insights for experimental collaborators.
• Collaborate closely with wet‑lab scientists in a lab‑in‑the‑loop environment to iteratively refine models based on experimental feedback.
• Document code, methods, and results following reproducible research standards and contribute to scientific publications.

Requirements

• PhD (or equivalent) in biomedical informatics, computational biology, data science, artificial intelligence, or a closely related discipline, completed within the last 10 years.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and apply AI models to biomedical problems, preferably in drug discovery or related fields.
• Proficiency in handling large, heterogeneous datasets and performing statistical/computational analyses.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a track record of interdisciplinary collaboration.
