Senior SCCM L3 Engineer responsible for end‑to‑end patch management and automation across Windows servers and workstations, designing scalable deployment workflows and maintaining fully automated, peer‑reviewed runbooks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end patch management for Windows servers and workstations using SCCM/MECM, from patch ring design to deployment rules and maintenance window scheduling.
- Design, build, and maintain fully automated patching workflows with SCCM task sequences, ADRs, and PowerShell scripts, achieving zero manual intervention.
- Continuously identify and eliminate manual steps in the patching process, documenting each step in reproducible, peer‑reviewable runbooks.
- Validate patch deployment success, monitor compliance, and troubleshoot issues across large enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with security and operations teams to align patching strategy with organizational risk and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 15–20 years of experience in Windows infrastructure and SCCM/MECM administration.
- Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and task sequencing.
- Deep understanding of Windows Server and workstation patching best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex processes in clear runbooks.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and peer review.
