Software Engineer
Lead SCADA and controls automation projects for water and environmental systems, designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks to deliver reliable, efficient solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement SCADA and controls solutions for water treatment and environmental projects.
- Program PLCs, configure HMIs, and integrate industrial Ethernet protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define project requirements, create technical documentation, and provide training to field personnel.
- Maintain and upgrade existing control systems, applying best practices for security and data integrity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SCADA, controls, and automation for water or environmental applications.
- Strong knowledge of industrial networking, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, and OPC UA.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, with a track record of troubleshooting complex control systems.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
