Software Engineer
Lead product and data support for Securities Based Lending, driving continuous improvement of reporting applications and delivering actionable insights using SQL, Python and financial analytics.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance core SBL reporting applications, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery for U.S. Wealth Management clients.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager and cross‑functional teams to identify process improvements and implement automation solutions.
- Develop, test, and document SQL queries and data pipelines to support ad‑hoc analysis and regulatory reporting.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and dashboards that translate complex financial data into business insights.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT to resolve technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; 5+ years of experience in data analysis or product support within financial services.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of securities‑based lending concepts, financial reporting standards, and risk metrics.
- Experience building and maintaining reporting tools or dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
