Software Engineer
SAP BW/HANA Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end‑to‑end dataflows and storage solutions on SAP BW and HANA, collaborating with business stakeholders, and ensuring high quality, sustainable data architecture in an Agile environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data solutions on SAP BW and HANA, including native HANA models and BW dataflows.
- Collaborate with business users to capture requirements, provide technical guidance, and translate business needs into robust data models.
- Develop, test, and maintain end‑to‑end ETL processes, ensuring data quality and performance.
- Support platform owners in sprint planning, team coordination, and delivery of high‑quality releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve dataflow, provisioning, and performance issues, providing timely support to stakeholders.
- Mentor and delegate tasks to team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge‑sharing culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SAP BW (on HANA) and native SAP HANA data modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands‑on experience in designing and optimizing dataflows and storage solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a track record of delivering on sprint commitments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
