Senior HR analyst responsible for designing, maintaining, and reporting on state salary and classification data, using SQL and Excel to support compensation planning and policy recommendations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and validate salary and classification data sets for state agencies.
- Create and automate reports and dashboards to support compensation planning, budget forecasts, and policy analysis.
- Analyze trends in job classifications, wage structures, and workforce demographics to inform salary guidelines.
- Collaborate with personnel officers and managers to provide data‑driven recommendations on classification changes and salary adjustments.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with state regulations and classification standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR data analysis, compensation, or related fields.
- Proficiency in SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, Power Query).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex salary structures and produce actionable insights.
- Experience developing reports and visualizations for senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
