Data Analyst
Remote Data Analyst supporting statewide rural health initiatives, responsible for data extraction, cleaning, validation, and building dashboards and reports to monitor program implementation and provider performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to support routine and ad‑hoc reporting for rural health transformation programs.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau (or similar tools) to track provider performance and program outcomes.
- Create and automate standard reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with state reporting requirements.
- Maintain structured datasets and tracking systems, documenting data lineage and metadata for auditability.
- Collaborate with program managers, clinicians, and IT teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation; familiarity with relational databases.
- Hands‑on experience building dashboards and visualizations in Tableau or comparable BI platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python (or R) for data cleaning, transformation, and basic statistical analysis.
- Background in healthcare or public‑health data, understanding of program performance metrics and compliance reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
