Rod Control / Rod Position Indication Systems Engineer - Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Rod Control (RC) and Rod Position Indication (RPI) system components, ensuring alignment with plant safety and performance requirements.
• Lead functional and integration testing of RC/RPI hardware and software, documenting results and troubleshooting issues.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and operation manuals.
• Provide production support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of RC/RPI systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (instrumentation, safety, operations) to resolve system performance and reliability challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with control system design, PLC programming, and instrumentation in a nuclear environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a regulated industry.
