Hands‑on robotics technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading industrial robots in field environments, using mechanical, electrical, PLC, Python, and ROS skills to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial robots across client sites, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site, using diagnostic tools and PLC programming.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement firmware updates, ROS node adjustments, and Python scripts for robot optimization.
- Document maintenance procedures, create service reports, and provide training to client staff on robot operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Participate in field service deployments, gathering real‑world data to inform product improvements and future deployments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in robotics maintenance or field service within industrial settings.
- Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) and robot calibration tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in remote locations.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Central Region.
