Systems Engineer
Design and integrate high‑performance RF subsystems for next‑generation defense aircraft, translating architecture concepts into hardware prototypes and conducting rigorous testing using MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop RF system architecture and detailed schematics for high‑speed avionics platforms.
- Perform signal‑chain analysis, simulation, and optimization using MATLAB and Python.
- Lead hardware integration, including PCB layout, component selection, and assembly for flight‑qualified RF modules.
- Execute RF testing and validation (e.g., S‑parameter, noise figure, power output) in lab and on‑air environments.
- Collaborate with avionics, GNC, flight software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration and rapid iteration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field with strong fundamentals in RF theory.
- Proficiency in RF design tools and hands‑on experience with test equipment (vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Solid programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ for modeling, automation, and firmware development.
- Demonstrated ability to move quickly from concept to hardware prototype, including PCB design and low‑level hardware debugging.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work across multidisciplinary engineering groups.
