Software Engineer
Design and lead development of advanced RF communication systems for satellites and UAVs, leveraging expertise in RF architecture, antenna engineering, and signal processing using MATLAB, Python, and C++.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect end‑to‑end RF subsystems for satellite and UAV communication payloads, defining specifications, block diagrams, and performance budgets.
- Lead antenna design and integration, performing simulations with tools such as ANSYS HFSS or CST and validating prototypes through testing.
- Develop and implement signal processing algorithms and firmware in Python and C++ to meet link‑budget, latency, and reliability targets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, thermal, software) to ensure seamless system integration and compliance with space‑grade standards.
- Provide technical mentorship, conduct design reviews, and produce detailed documentation for government and industry stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of RF system design experience.
- Proven expertise in RF architecture, antenna design, and high‑frequency signal processing.
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and C++ for modeling, simulation, and firmware development.
- Hands‑on experience with RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS) and hardware test equipment.
- U.S. citizenship or eligibility to obtain required export authorizations.
