RF System Designer - Universal Quantum
Software Engineer
Design and deliver end‑to‑end RF systems for quantum computers, defining specifications, creating transmission line architectures, and leading simulation, integration, and verification of high‑frequency hardware.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and detailed design of the complete RF delivery chain, from connectors to the quantum chip.
- Define specifications for all critical RF building blocks, including amplifiers, filters, and transmission lines.
- Perform electromagnetic simulations (e.g., ADS, HFSS) to optimize performance, loss, and crosstalk.
- Develop high‑frequency PCB layouts and ensure signal integrity across the system.
- Oversee integration, verification, and testing methodologies, collaborating with test engineers to validate RF performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field with 5+ years of RF/microwave design experience.
- Proficiency in RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS, or CST.
- Strong background in high‑frequency PCB design, transmission line theory, and impedance matching.
- Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, VNA) and measurement techniques.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, innovative environment focused on quantum technologies.
