Revenue Data Analyst responsible for analyzing financial and transactional data, ensuring data accuracy, supporting revenue reporting, and driving process improvements within a fast‑growing marketplace accounting team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large sets of revenue, transaction, and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and validate data integrity across accounting systems, ensuring accurate monthly and daily close processes.
- Prepare and deliver revenue reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Product) to streamline data flows and automate reporting workflows.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis or revenue accounting, preferably in a high‑growth technology or marketplace environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; experience with Python or similar scripting languages is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
