The Role
As an Integration Developer Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a large-scale Automation Modernization programme for a leading Retail Energy client. You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide integrations, defining integration architecture, API standards, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native strategies across a complex technology landscape.
Working closely with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Business Analysts, engineering teams, and third-party vendors, you will deliver secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Integration Services that enable the next generation of customer, billing, pricing, forecasting, and analytics capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise integration architecture across 15–20 business-critical platforms, establishing reusable API, messaging, and integration standards.
- Define and implement Azure Integration Services including API Management, Azure Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, and event-driven integration patterns.
- Design secure, cloud-native integration solutions leveraging Azure AD, Key Vault, RBAC, and enterprise security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing integration solutions that support modernization objectives.
- Provide technical leadership, design governance, and mentoring to integration teams while driving engineering excellence and delivery quality.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of software development and enterprise integration experience, including at least 5 years designing Azure-based integration solutions.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and defining enterprise integration architecture within complex cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in Azure API Management, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, event-driven architecture, and Java Spring Boot microservices.
- Experience designing secure RESTful APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise messaging solutions across multiple platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills with the ability to influence architecture decisions.
Bonus Points For
- Experience delivering technology solutions within the Energy & Utilities or Retail Energy sector.
- Knowledge of customer, billing, CRM, pricing, forecasting, and payment platform integrations.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Integration Services credentials.
