Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software tools and data pipelines for coastal and marine research projects.
- Implement statistical analyses and predictive models to support resource management decision‑making.
- Create and manage geospatial datasets, maps, and visualizations using GIS platforms.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate research requirements into functional code and workflows.
- Document code, methodologies, and results to ensure reproducibility and compliance with project standards.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis and scientific computing.
- Experience with MATLAB for numerical modeling and algorithm development.
- Strong knowledge of GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data handling.
- Background in statistical modeling, machine learning, or related quantitative methods.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
