Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and deployment of advanced instrumentation for particle detectors, astronomical telescopes, synchrotron beamlines, and high‑altitude balloon gondolas.
- Manage cross‑functional engineering teams, setting project milestones, allocating resources, and ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Collaborate with university research groups to translate scientific requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of existing systems.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in research instrumentation or related engineering roles.
- Proven leadership and project management skills in multidisciplinary settings.
- Strong communication skills, both technical and non‑technical.
