About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate machine learning models for large geospatial datasets related to natural resources.
- Develop and maintain Python-based data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate remote sensing, GIS, and statistical analysis into research projects.
- Deploy analytical solutions on AWS, optimizing performance and cost.
- Document methodologies, produce technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Geosciences, or related field.
- Proven experience with Python, machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and geospatial tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Strong background in statistical modeling and data analysis.
- Experience deploying models on AWS (EC2, S3, SageMaker).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
