Research Data Scientist - System One
Data Scientist
A Research Data Scientist will design and implement data pipelines, statistical models, and machine‑learning solutions to accelerate therapeutic discovery, collaborating with scientists to turn complex biomedical data into actionable insights.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize end‑to‑end data analysis pipelines for large‑scale biomedical datasets.
- Design and implement statistical models and machine‑learning algorithms to support target identification, biomarker discovery, and experimental planning.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional research teams to translate scientific questions into analytical approaches and deliver reproducible results.
- Perform data integration, cleaning, and preprocessing across heterogeneous sources (e.g., omics, imaging, clinical data).
- Create clear visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python and R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and management.
- Hands‑on expertise in machine‑learning frameworks (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and statistical modeling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to visualize complex data sets and convey insights through tools such as matplotlib, ggplot2, or interactive dashboards.
