Data Analyst
Research Data Analyst supporting epidemiology research through data management, statistical programming, and manuscript preparation using SAS, R, Excel, and Access. Focus on quality control, dataset creation, and visual presentation for conferences and publications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data cleaning, merging, and codebook creation for epidemiologic studies.
- Develop and maintain statistical programs in SAS and R to generate tables, figures, and preliminary analyses for manuscripts and grant proposals.
- Document data management procedures and ensure rigorous quality control across datasets.
- Collaborate with investigators, students, and staff to support research projects and prepare presentations for scientific conferences.
- Produce high‑quality data visualizations and tables for journal manuscripts and grant applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SAS and R for statistical analysis; strong Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Access.
- Solid understanding of data management principles and documentation standards.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise tables and graphics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for manuscript and presentation support.
- Experience in public health or epidemiology research is preferred.
