Data Scientist
Support the design, evaluation, and deployment of AI/ML algorithms for biomedical data analysis, create reproducible pipelines, and communicate findings through presentations and publications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and refine computational and statistical methods, including machine learning and AI algorithms, for biomedical datasets.
- Implement end‑to‑end data pipelines from raw database extraction to model deployment, ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to translate analytical results into actionable scientific insights.
- Prepare and deliver clear visualizations and reports for laboratory meetings, conferences, and peer‑reviewed manuscripts.
- Maintain and optimize data storage solutions, write efficient SQL queries, and manage data integrity.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning (e.g., scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong background in statistical modeling and experience applying these methods to biomedical or health‑related data.
- Experience building data pipelines, writing complex SQL queries, and handling large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of presenting scientific results and contributing to publications.
