Software Engineer
Research and Development Engineer driving the design, testing, and optimization of plasma‑based sterilization platforms for biotech, medical, and aerospace applications, leveraging expertise in plasma physics, materials science, and software‑driven experimentation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and prototype plasma generation modules and sterilization chambers using CAD and rapid‑prototyping tools.
- Develop and execute experimental test plans to evaluate efficacy, power efficiency, and reliability under terrestrial and microgravity conditions.
- Analyze plasma‑process data with Python and MATLAB to model discharge behavior and optimize system parameters.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate biocompatible materials, ensure compliance with FDA/ISO sterilization standards, and support scale‑up to TRL 8.
- Document findings, generate technical reports, and contribute to intellectual property filings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Plasma Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with plasma generation equipment, vacuum systems, and high‑voltage electronics.
- Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data acquisition, analysis, and simulation.
- Strong background in experimental design, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting of complex hardware.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.
