Summary of Position: CCAoA seeks a Research Analyst to contribute to the organization’s work on state licensing and quality rating benchmarking. This person will have general knowledge of state child care licensing, Quality Improvement Systems (QRIS, QIS) and the Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood (MYCCN and MCCYN+) program. They will also be adept at executing projects that require distilling and analyzing information from reviewing large documents. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and relationship builder.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributes to Child Care Aware® of America’s research projects to analyze and benchmark state child care standards.
- Participates in data collection and analysis, utilizing multiple research methods as needed (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, case study methods, interviews, etc.)
- Communicates and translates data into research products that are easily understood and digested by system leaders, policymakers and CCAoA partners.
- Maintains data and associated databases for key research reports.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external stakeholders, particularly those who provide data for CCAoA analyses, regularly interfacing with them regarding research requests.
- Partners with colleagues and other CCAoA units to execute projects in support of Research Team goals.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
