About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead renewal risk evaluations for management and professional liability portfolios, ensuring accurate exposure assessment and pricing.
- Utilize AI and data analytics tools to identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and product teams to refine risk models and improve loss ratios.
- Develop and maintain risk documentation, including policy guidelines, risk appetite statements, and renewal strategies.
- Provide expert guidance to brokers and agents on risk management best practices and product enhancements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or risk management, preferably in management or professional liability.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python) and familiarity with AI/ML concepts applied to insurance.
- Strong actuarial knowledge and ability to interpret loss data and develop pricing models.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with insurtech platforms and digital underwriting processes is a plus.
