Lead the Reliability User Research team, designing and executing in‑person studies on hardware durability, translating insights into specifications and test strategies for Apple products.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the research roadmap for hardware reliability, planning in‑person and remote user studies.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers, analysts, and engineers to generate actionable insights on product durability.
- Translate study findings into clear specifications, test plans, and success criteria used across hardware development.
- Partner with product, design, and engineering groups to integrate reliability requirements early in the development cycle.
- Develop and maintain rigorous data collection, statistical analysis, and visualization pipelines to support decision‑making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in user research or usability engineering, preferably within hardware or consumer electronics.
- Strong background in reliability testing, statistical methods, and data‑driven insight generation.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams and manage complex, cross‑functional projects.
- Excellent communication skills to convey research outcomes to engineers, designers, and senior leadership.
- Hands‑on experience with analysis tools such as Python, R, or similar, and data‑visualization platforms.
