Registered Building Control Technical Manager - Stratford-on-Avon District Council

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical assessment of building applications, ensuring adherence to Building Regulations and statutory requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance, training and performance management.
• Develop and implement quality assurance processes, risk assessments and audit procedures.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, contractors and local authorities to resolve technical issues and promote best practice.
• Prepare and present technical reports, recommendations and briefing notes to senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Registered Building Control Professional with proven experience in technical management.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning law and construction standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse complex technical information and deliver clear, actionable advice.
• Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office suite.
