About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate reentry vehicle concepts, focusing on aerodynamic, thermal, and structural performance.
- Conduct CFD and FEA simulations to predict heat loads, pressure distributions, and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with propulsion, materials, and avionics teams to integrate subsystems and resolve trade‑offs.
- Prepare technical reports, design reviews, and risk assessments for senior leadership.
- Implement and maintain MATLAB/Python scripts for data analysis, model automation, and result visualization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in reentry vehicle design or related propulsion/thermal analysis.
- Proficiency in CFD (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and FEA (e.g., Abaqus, NASTRAN).
- Strong programming skills in MATLAB and Python for simulation and data processing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
