Systems Engineer
Lead Red Team Engineer driving offensive security operations, leveraging Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD to design, execute, and analyze advanced threat simulations in a cloud-native environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct realistic adversary simulations against Google’s cloud and on‑premise infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Develop and maintain automated playbooks using Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD to orchestrate attack scenarios and post‑exploitation analysis.
- Collaborate with platform and security teams to harden defenses, provide actionable remediation guidance, and validate security controls.
- Document findings, produce detailed technical reports, and present insights to senior security stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging attack techniques, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve Red Team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in security engineering, offensive security (Red Team/Purple Team), or platform engineering.
- Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code and GitOps tools such as Terraform, Helm, and ArgoCD.
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes security, container hardening, and cloud‑native threat modeling.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with automated security tooling.
