Recreation Programmer - Town of Faro

Key Responsibilities

• Design, launch, and assess a diverse portfolio of recreation events and community activities that encourage active living and social engagement.
• Collaborate with local partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to secure resources, sponsorships, and community support.
• Develop and manage program budgets, track expenditures, and report financial performance to leadership.
• Implement inclusive practices that reflect the community’s diversity, ensuring programs are accessible to all residents.
• Collect and analyze participant feedback, attendance data, and outcome metrics to continuously improve program quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in recreation program planning and community outreach.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis tools.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in program design and delivery.
