Software Engineer
Plan, develop, schedule and deliver recreational, social and cultural programs while supervising staff and coordinating with internal and external partners.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervisor in designing, scheduling and implementing a variety of recreational, social and cultural programs.
- Supervise and mentor program staff, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, schools, and external vendors to enhance program offerings.
- Promote programs through marketing materials, social media and public outreach to maximize participation.
- Prepare and monitor program budgets, track expenses and generate reports for management.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback and performance metrics, recommending improvements.
Requirements
- Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience in recreation, leisure services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in program planning, event coordination and staff supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective community and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience managing program budgets.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as program schedules require.
