Recommendation System Engineer

The Recommendation System Engineer will join a team focused on developing and optimizing Shopee's e-commerce recommendation engine. This role involves participating in the design of large-scale machine learning training frameworks and inference systems, as well as improving various application methods such as feature preprocessing and prediction. The engineer will also contribute to the fundamental recommendation algorithm framework, including online service and resource management.

Our team is responsible for developing Shopee's recommendation engine, to provide users with the ultimate e-commerce shopping experience. Job Description

Participate in the design of the machine learning large-scaled training framework, inference system.
Improve and optimise multiple application methods such as sample management, feature preprocessing, feature management, prediction, and vector based recall.
Participate in the basic recommendation algorithm framework, including but not limited to online service, traffic scheduling, disaster tolerance, overload protection, degradation, resource management, efficiency tool implementation and many other infrastructures.

Requirements

Proficiency in C++/Java/python programming
Solid basic knowledge of network, operating system, data structure, and compilation principles
Experience in TensorFlow framework development and optimisation is preferred
Familiar with basic machine learning algorithms is preferred
