Systems Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of advanced rail technologies such as Positive Train Control and overhead catenary systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across urban transit infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and integrate Positive Train Control (PTC) and overhead catenary systems into existing and new rail assets.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop system specifications, performance criteria, and compliance documentation.
- Lead field verification, testing, and commissioning activities to validate system performance and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and support during procurement, installation, and maintenance phases.
- Analyze system data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Transportation Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in rail system design or implementation, with a focus on PTC or catenary technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
