Data Analyst
Analyze and interpret rail control data to improve operational efficiency and safety, using Python, SQL and visualization tools such as Power BI to deliver actionable insights for the rail network.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate large volumes of rail control data from multiple sources.
- Develop automated data pipelines and scripts using Python and SQL to support real‑time monitoring.
- Create interactive dashboards and visual reports in Power BI to highlight performance trends, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify root causes of delays, equipment failures, and safety events.
- Collaborate with rail operations, engineering, and safety teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain data governance standards and ensure compliance with security and quality protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Python (pandas, NumPy) and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong ability to design and deliver visual analytics using Power BI or similar tools.
- Understanding of rail or transportation systems and experience working with operational data is preferred.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
