Design and analyze radiation‑hardened electronic systems for strategic defense applications, leveraging circuit design, reliability engineering, and advanced modeling tools such as MATLAB and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate radiation‑hardened circuit architectures for high‑reliability defense systems.
- Perform detailed reliability and survivability analyses using statistical and physics‑based models.
- Create system‑level models and simulations to assess performance under extreme radiation environments.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware designs into larger strategic platforms.
- Document design decisions, test results, and analysis reports in compliance with security and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with experience in radiation‑hardening techniques.
- Proficiency in circuit design tools and hands‑on experience with PCB layout, FPGA/ASIC development, or similar hardware platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to use MATLAB and Python for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding of reliability engineering principles and failure analysis.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
