About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to characterize quantum gates, reset operations, and readout mechanisms used in quantum error correction codes.
- Develop data‑analysis pipelines and simulation tools in Python to quantify component performance and its impact on overall QEC fidelity.
- Collaborate with physicists, materials scientists, and hardware/software engineers to integrate measurement results into device design cycles.
- Implement and maintain laboratory instrumentation for high‑precision timing, signal generation, and cryogenic measurements.
- Publish findings in internal reports and peer‑reviewed venues, and present results to cross‑functional teams.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on quantum information or experimental quantum hardware.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with scientific libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas) and data‑visualization tools.
- Hands‑on experience with quantum measurement hardware, cryogenic systems, and high‑speed electronics.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex experimental data and translate results into actionable insights for hardware improvement.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working in multidisciplinary teams.
