QA Engineer
Entry-level QA Engineer intern role focused on test automation using Java, Selenium, and SQL to ensure software quality in Agile environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium for web applications.
- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing to validate application functionality against requirements.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using defect management tools.
- Write and execute SQL queries to verify data integrity and perform backend testing.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve defects and improve test coverage.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Core Java concepts.
- Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver and manual testing concepts.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills for database validation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
