Software Engineer
Quality Assurance Specialist ensuring compliance with NASA and FAA standards on modified research aircraft, conducting surveillance, testing, and documentation to support safe and effective airborne research operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance and surveillance activities on heavily modified NASA LaRC aircraft in accordance with NASA and FAA standards.
- Develop, review, and maintain QA documentation, test plans, and inspection reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify, document, and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training on QA procedures and standards to support research missions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of NASA and FAA quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Experience with aircraft systems integration and testing in a research environment.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
