Quality Assurance / Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions in a DevSecOps environment, ensuring mission‑critical DoD software meets functional, performance, security, and compliance standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Selenium to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and cybersecurity engineers to define test plans, requirements, and acceptance criteria for DoD mission‑critical applications.
- Implement security and performance testing within the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) to identify vulnerabilities and bottlenecks early.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows, ensuring rapid feedback and high code quality across releases.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide actionable recommendations to improve product reliability and security.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automated testing with Python and Selenium in a DevSecOps context.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, SSDLC practices, and security testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with DoD or other regulated environments is a plus.
