Quality Assurance QA Designer - Utility Engineering Electric & Gas - Xcellas360

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate engineering design packages for electric and gas utility projects against utility standards, codes, and client specifications.
• Identify non‑conformances, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution through the design lifecycle.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely compliance and documentation.
• Maintain and update quality management procedures, checklists, and audit records specific to utility engineering.
• Utilize AutoCAD and GIS tools to verify design accuracy, spatial data integrity, and constructability.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance or design review within electric or gas utility engineering.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards (e.g., NESC, NFPA 70E), regulatory codes, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS software, and Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with a focus on detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
