Quality Assurance Analyst (Per Diem) responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases, tracking defects, and ensuring high‑quality software delivery using manual and automated testing techniques, SQL, and industry‑standard QA tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing software features.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, document findings, and verify fixes.
- Utilize SQL to query databases for test data validation and to support defect investigation.
- Track and manage defects in a bug tracking system, ensuring timely resolution and regression testing.
- Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and provide quality feedback.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a per diem or contract environment.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and test case design.
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and basic SQL querying.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
