About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute validation test plans for power‑electronics modules used in XR systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety specifications.
- Design, build, and maintain automated test rigs and software frameworks (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink) to accelerate data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system teams to diagnose failures, recommend design improvements, and close validation gaps.
- Lead root‑cause investigations, generate detailed test reports, and present findings to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers, define validation best practices, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field with 5+ years of validation or test engineering experience.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with power‑electronics hardware, converters, and control loops.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and MATLAB/Simulink for data analysis, modeling, and test automation.
- Experience building and operating automated test equipment, including DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
