Software Engineer
Lead a QA team delivering high‑quality software for federal agencies, driving test automation, continuous integration, and Agile best practices using tools such as Selenium and JIRA.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall QA strategy, including test planning, automation framework design, and release readiness for mission‑critical applications.
- Lead a cross‑functional QA team, mentor engineers, and ensure adherence to Agile processes and quality standards.
- Develop, maintain, and expand automated test suites using Selenium (or equivalent) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into test cases and ensure traceability.
- Track defects in JIRA, drive root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve product reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on QA experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly.
- Experience working on government or regulated software projects is a plus.
