QA Engineer
QA Engineer focused on building automation‑first test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications, leveraging Java, Selenium, and cloud services to ensure high‑quality releases in a CI/CD environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to define test strategies and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Execute and troubleshoot automated test suites across cloud platforms such as AWS, ensuring consistent test environments.
- Identify, report, and track defects, providing clear reproduction steps and working with engineers to drive root‑cause analysis.
- Continuously improve testing processes, contribute to a culture of quality, and mentor junior QA team members.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience in Java (or comparable language) and hands‑on expertise with Selenium or similar UI automation tools.
- Proven experience automating API tests (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines) to integrate automated tests.
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized test execution.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design patterns, and quality metrics.
