Nimble Giant Entertainment is looking for a full-time QA Tester (Argentina, Perú, Chile)
Our team is on the hunt for a talented, dedicated, and passionate QA Tester to join our team.
The main purpose of this role is to test newly implemented game systems or features in search of bugs and exploits as well as validating fixes done to previously identified issues. They are responsible for the quality assurance of the game or product as well as the work delivered by other departments during the various stages of development. The role relies heavily on the ability to communicate effectively with other team members especially Game Designers and other QAs in order to benefit the production workflow.
They are required to identify not only bugs or issues but also remain aware of project deadlines and deliverables, anticipating potential risks or errors and reporting these to the Production team in a timely manner.
Responsibilities :
- Design test scenarios based on documentation and project requirements
- Identify defects, follow test plans, reproduce and check fixes from programmers and designers.
- Keep testplans up to date based on ongoing development and work by other departments.
- Awareness of project schedule, upcoming deadlines and deployment dates.
- Investigate hard-to-find issues in order to determine the steps to reproduce.
- Enter clear and concise tickets into bug tracking database (Jira).
- Organize and participate in playtests
- Have clear communication between the QA and Development areas.
- Assist the production department by taking screenshots and video capturing.
Requirements :
- +3 years experience testing video games 1 of which have been done either on PC or console platforms.
- Experience using Issue tracker software such as JIRA or similar platforms.
- Experience creating test plans based on system, game or project design documents
- Experience with QA workflows as well as understanding of issue data structures and documentation including: proper descriptions, Repro-steps, case scenarios,severity, event frequency and more.
- Familiarity with game engines (Ideally Unreal Engine)
- Comfortable using/installing and testing in multiple environments (dev, prod and live).
- Ability to give optimization feedback about the current games.
- Ability to work with Designers, QA, Artists and others in order to benefit the different workflows within each department.
- Strong time management and focus;
- Strong analytical skills as well as understanding of desired VS observed behaviors.

- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
